The 11.5-acre campus is located in Uptown New Orleans, on four city blocks in a residential neighborhood offering a safe, stimulating, learning environment. Assistant Band Director

Isidore Newman School, a Pre-K-12 independent school is seeking a part time assistant band director for the 2014-2015 school year. Some prior teaching experience is preferred as is an undergraduate degree in the field. The position will include teaching at the 4th and 5th grade levels and some sectional work with upper and middle school students and will offer conducting opportunities with elementary band students. The assistant band director must be available for football games, district competitions, and band trips. Newman seeks a faculty member who combines high expectations of students with compassion and sensitivity.
