Students at Newman School often take advantage of the two extensive libraries on campus. The Devlin Library has an excellent collection of resources geared towards the educational interests of the Lower School students. Middle and Upper School students enjoy a peaceful work environment and loads of information at their fingertips in the Popp Library.
1/1/2000 The Angela Devlin Library and Resource Center is a hub of activity in the Lower School. The program extends beyond the concept of the traditional library by offering opportunities for storytelling, puppet shows, creative writing and book reviews.
1/1/2000 The Rebecca Grant Popp Library serves students and staff in grade six through twelve, and loans books audio books, and videos to parents and alumni as needed. As of July 2005, the book collection surpassed 54,500 volumes. Magazine and newspaper subscriptions total 110; classical music CD’s, 584; audio books, 119; VHS and DVD’s 683; and reels of microfilm 5,000+ including a complete file of the New York Times from its inception in September 1851 to December 1993 with annual indexes.
