Newman Travels to New York!
More than 100 Newman alumni and friends gathered on February 28 for a reception at the New York Athletic Club. The beautiful venue on Central Park was made possible by the sponsorship of Arlene and Alan ’56 Philipson. The alumni, ranging from the class of 1950 through 2004, enjoyed mingling with each other and viewing pictures of newly renovated spaces on campus. They heard updates from Head of School T.J. Locke, and were introduced to the new Dean of Fine Arts, Paul Tines. The greenies also visited with Assistant Head for Academic Affairs Matthew Miller, Athletic Director Billy Fitzgerald and Co-Director of College Counseling Ed Graf. Also in attendance were board members Scott Jacobs, Rick Rees, and Tripp Friedler ‘78, as well as members of the advancement office, Sabrina Pilant ’88, Mia Miller and Missy Sutherlin ‘98.

Newman Travels to Nashville
January 28, 2008
Toni and Tom ’69 Oreck graciously opened their beautiful Nashville home for a gathering of more than 30 Newman alumni and friends in late January. The alumni, who represented every decade from the 40’s to the class of 2007, met Head of School T.J. Locke and heard an update about plans for Newman. Also in attendance from Newman were Billy Fitzgerald, who visited with several of his former teammates and students, Mia Miller and Sabrina Pilant. The guests enjoyed food imported from New Orleans, including shrimp creole, red beans, and – with Mardi Gras only a week away – king cake!

Newman Travels to Austin, Texas
On Friday July 20th a great group of alumni gathered in Austin for a Happy Hour at Plucker’s Wing Factory and Grill. Special thanks to both of them for helping us put on a great event!
