One of the first schools in the city to have a registered nurse on staff, and later one of the first high schools to have a certified athletic trainer, Newman is fortunate to have not only excellent personnel but also the beautiful new Philipson Health Center. The certified athletic trainer not only supports our athletes and runs our Student Athletic Trainer program, but also helps to staff our Health Center throughout the school day. The registered nurse cares for the health needs of our students. The Health Center frequently services over a hundred students a day.
