The goal of the Greenie Connection Program is to help make the move to Newman a wonderful and welcoming experience for our new parents and students. Each division of the school has a Greenie Connection Coordinator who connects new families with experienced Newman families. The coordinator will send each new family in their division a welcome letter and a general information packet.
Greenie Connection volunteers contact their new families during the summer and often get together before school begins. This volunteer answers questions and acquaints the new family with Newman’s traditions and policies. Throughout the school year, the new parent can call his or her Greenie Connection for advice and the Greenie Connection will maintain contact by telephone or personal visits and remain a resource. Many of these Greenie Connection relationships have turned into meaningful and lasting friendships.
