Newman seventh graders visited the National World War II Museum earlier this week to learn more about the ‘War That Changed the World.’ On March 16, our students had the opportunity to sit down with WWII veteran Paul Hilliard to hear firsthand what it was like to live through the great war. He shared stories about what it was like to grow up during the Great Depression and to serve in the military during such a tumultuous time. Many thanks to Jeremy Collins, Director of Conferences & Symposia for the National WWII Museum, for facilitating today’s presentation.
