Learning Opportunities Beyond the School Day
Later Gators is an opportunity for your child to engage in unique learning and growing experiences after school. We offer a variety of classes by the semester registered through a system called CampBrain (newmanplus.campbrainregistration.com). There are two types of classes: Gator Game Time is available to all age groups daily, and there are specialist classes available to the Threes and Fours Classrooms that meet weekly across the semester.

Classes run until 4:30 p.m. You can also register your child to attend until 5:30 p.m. to participate in supervised free play after his or her class ends.

Experienced Staff
The staff includes Green Trees faculty members, substitute teachers, and specialist instructors who lead classes and group activities.

Availability
Later Gators is available Monday through Friday throughout the school year from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., excluding early dismissal days. A complete list of semester dates can be found here.

Martial arts can be an integral part of youth education by teaching children discipline, self-control, and self-defense, while providing them with a rigorous physical education regimen. This class is led by instructors from New Orleans Shotokan Academy. They believe in the practice of Martial Arts for the improvement of one's life. Karate is based on movements whose foundations rest in punches, strikes, kicks, and blocks. This martial art is based on a self-defense in which the movements are passed down from one generation to the next in the form of Kata. Enrollment in this class also offers the optional purchase of a gi (karate uniform) for $30.
