Nine Students Named to All-District Honor Band

Nine Newman Band students were commended for their musical ability and named to the All-District Honor band, an all-star assembly of band students around Southeastern Louisiana.

 

Band Director Brian Dufour said that the nomination process was different this year, with videotaped auditions taking the place of in-person performances. He was overjoyed at his students’ success, saying, “[Band Director] Ms. Izaguirre and I would like send out a BIG congratulations to these wonderful musicians!”
