Admissions

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Newman.

We are always delighted to welcome prospective students and their families to our School, and the staff in the Admission Office is eager to help you learn about our programs. But, beyond that, we want you to consider us a resource in the search for the right school for your child.

Newman Head of School Dale M. Smith is proud of Newman’s legacy of excellence in all endeavors including academics, athletics, and the arts. With 38 years of experience in independent schools and 31 of these as a teacher and educational leader at Newman, he believes firmly that “strong relationships and high expectations are the two essential ideals in education – the foundation for great teaching and meaningful intellectual endeavor.”

This school is about the young people who come here to learn. The students are the focus of all we do here at Newman, and so it is in admission. Please let us know whenever you have questions about the admission process or about Newman. We look forward to working with you as you get to know our school, and as we get to know you and your child.

Sincerely,

Jennifer B. Rosen ’84

Assistant Head of School for Enrollment Management
