On-the-Spot

If your family unexpectedly needs after school childcare on a certain day, On-the-Spot offers limited spots for children to attend After 3 and Later Gators daily on a first-come, first-served basis.  This program will become available after Labor Day.

In the event your family needs additional after school care that you did not register for at the beginning of the school year, please log in to your Newman Plus account to view current availability and register for the appropriate On-the-Spot reservation. If a day that you need is not listed or shows as “Full,” we are unable to accommodate your request for attendance that day.

    Specialist Classes

Soccer Shots Classic | Oldest Learners
This class utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on the basic soccer skills of dribbling, passing, and shooting. Participants will experience the joy of playing soccer and being active through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement. Each session, we will highlight a positive character trait such as respect or teamwork.

New Spanish with ¡Hola Amigos! | Oldest Learners
Our Spanish immersion class is a joyful, play-based experience where little ones are gently introduced to Spanish through music, movement, storytelling, and hands-on fun. This class will be led by Green Trees Associate Teacher, Sthefany, who is a native Spanish speaker from Honduras.  Every moment will be filled with giggles, curiosity, and meaningful language exposure. Children learn best through play, so we build Spanish into the routines, games, art, and pretend play. Each class follows a simple, comforting rhythm: hello songs, themed centers, story time, dancing, and a cheerful goodbye; all in Spanish with plenty of visual cues and gestures to support understanding. There’s no pressure to speak, just a warm, loving space where listening, exploring, and having fun come first. Our caring teacher, Sthefany, will nurture confidence, friendships, and joy, creating a magical foundation for a lifelong love of language diversity and acquisition.

New Little Scientists in the Kitchen | Oldest Learners
In this playful cooking class, 3–4-year-olds become little scientists as they explore food through hands-on, developmentally appropriate experiments in the kitchen! Each week, children will stir, scoop, pour, and observe as they create simple recipes that spark curiosity and support early science and math learning. As we mix ingredients, watch things change, and talk about what we see, smell, and taste, children will explore core scientific concepts like cause and effect, changes in matter, measurement, and the five senses. Each activity encourages observation, questioning, prediction and discovery. This class supports language development, fine motor skills, and early math and science understanding, all through the joyful lens of food play. With child-safe tools and fresh ingredients, we create a space where messes are part of the magic and learning feels like fun.
