Learning Opportunities Beyond the School Day
Later Gators is an opportunity for your child to engage in unique learning and growing experiences after school. There are two types of classes: Gator Game Time and Specialist Classes. Gator Game Time is available to all age groups daily.
Gator Game Time is available for Primary, Middle & Oldest Learners, registration includes the ability to stay from 3:30- 5:30 p.m.
Specialist classes are available to the Oldest Learners and meet weekly throughout the semester which run until 4:30 p.m. You can also register your child to attend until 5:30 p.m. to participate in supervised play after his or her class ends.
Children may be registered for any or all days of the week. Childcare is not available beyond 5:30 p.m.
Online registration will open Friday, August 4 at 10:00 a.m. through Friday, August 11 at 10:00 a.m.
Experienced Staff
The staff includes Green Trees faculty members, substitute teachers, and Newman Plus staff.
Availability
Later Gators is available Monday through Friday throughout the school year from 3:30- 5:30 p.m., excluding early dismissal days. A complete list of semester dates can be found

Gator Game Time | Monday through FridayThis activity includes an age-appropriate, in-classroom enrichment activity or an active-play game. The Classroom Enrichment activities will include rotations of art projects, puzzles, hands-on science, musical games, and tinkering. The Active Play & Games activities will include games, races, and sports. Each day will focus on individual exploration, motor skills, group games, and fun!

Monday through Friday for the Oldest Learners - Sycamore / Cypress / Magnolia / Oak
Mondays beginning August 21
Kidding Around Yoga
This class will provide energizing music, yoga-inspired games, mindfulness, and plenty of smiles in every class. Children will practice breathing techniques to calm, energize, and balance the nervous system, practice flowing sequences, challenging poses, partner and group poses.

The Music Class New Orleans
This music & movement enrichment program focuses on an immersion and researched based curriculum introducing children to many genres of music styles and the progressive understanding of rhythm, pitch, and tones along with plenty of laughing, instrument play, and fun activities. Each family will also receive access to an app so you can continue with your children outside of class.

Tuesdays beginning August 22
Science - Littles Laboratory
What is carbonation? Why are there rainbows? How is a shadow made? In this curiosity-driven and experiment-heavy class, children will experience the excitement of the scientific process from question to exploration, and the subsequent development of new questions! Through discussion and examination of the world around them, children will feel why Science is Life!

Teddy Tennis
This is a sport and education program that inspires young children to get active and learn to play tennis. It works by combining music, pictures, and teddy bear stories into a fun interactive learning adventure.

Soccer Shots Classic
This class utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on the basic soccer skills of dribbling, passing, and shooting. Participants will experience the joy of playing soccer and being active through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement. Each session, we will highlight a positive character trait such as respect or teamwork.

Thursdays beginning August 17
Artful Beginning
This art-focused class will provide children with the opportunity to engage in a variety of creative endeavors such as mark-making, painting, and sculpture, among others. The focus of these explorations will be on developing their knowledge and understanding of the potential that different art materials offer, as well as the techniques and tools that can be used to build up their own creative process. The projects offered will be driven by the children’s interests, ultimately producing artwork that is beautiful and unique to each child--and yes, they will likely get messy!

Dance
This exciting class inspires children while teaching the fundamentals of basic ballet, jazz, tap, tumbling and creative movement. This dance class helps to keep young minds engaged, aware and always learning. Dance class will allow your young 3 & 4 year olds to build coordination and confidence all while having fun! Learning dance can help your little one by nurturing and expanding their imagination and creativity.

Lunch Bunch Lunch Bunch is available to any child enrolled in a Two, Three, or Five half-day program. Lunch Bunch extends the half-day school day to 3:30 p.m. Pre-registration for Lunch Bunch on any given day is required via the Newman Plus online registration system.
- 11:30 a.m.– 3:30 p.m.
- Children will be served lunch and an afternoon snack
- Children will participate in rest time and should bring a nap mat
Please note: Children must attend school for the full day on the days they attend Special Classes. For example, if your child is enrolled in a three half-day program and is registered for Soccer Shots on Thursday, your child must also register and stay for Lunch Bunch on Thursday as well.
On-the-SpotWe are currently unable to offer On-the-Spot Reservations for Later Gators. Once we have settled into the semester, if we have the capacity, On-The-Spot will be offered on a limited first-come, first-served basis. Details to follow.

Fees
Children may be registered for any or all days of the week. Fees are by the day of the week per semester. For example, if registering for Monday - Gator Game Time, the fee of $347 is for all Mondays we operate within a semester. Wednesday's fee is $275 due to early dismissal at 3:30 p.m. for monthly C.O.P. meetings.

Late Fees
It is very important that your children are picked up by 5:30 p.m. Late pickups will be charged an overtime rate of $1.00 per minute. Habitual late pickups may impact your enrollment in the program.
Refund PolicyThe fee for any cancellations prior to the third class meeting will be returned less the deposit for each cancelled class.
No refunds will be given for cancellations after the third class meeting.
