R. Hibbert
[FULL STORY]

On November 14, 2013 the Association of Fundraising Professionals honored Newman sophomore Princeton Carter at the National Philanthropy Day Luncheon. The event, which was held at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, honored leaders in philanthropy in several categories, including individuals, foundations, and corporations. Princeton won the award for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy. He joins two other Newman students who were also winners of this award: Stanford Rosenthal ’09 and Laney Langenstein ’12.

Last year, Princeton founded My Brother’s Keeper, an organization dedicated to helping those in need. In 2012 and 2013, My Brother’s Keeper organized a toy drive, collected professional clothes to help disadvantaged job seekers succeed in interviews, and collected $5,000 worth of Rouse’s gift cards to help families afford a holiday dinner.
