Isidore Newman School has had a scholastic honor society since the 1930s, originally affiliated with the National Honor Society. In 1966 it became the Cum Laude Society, joining an honors society founded in 1906 that offered membership to only the most academically qualified schools. This Society is a fellowship of scholars whose purpose is to recognize excellence in academic work.
Each year faculty members of Newman’s Chapter choose for induction those seniors whose distinguished record at the School and high grade-point averages place them academically at the top of their class. As the inductees pursue their education, they are expected to make contributions to the ongoing search for greater understanding of the world in which we live.
Congratulations to these academically accomplished students, whose distinguished record at Isidore Newman School has won them membership in the Cum Laude Society.
