A Comprehensive Renovation of Physical Education & Athletic Locker Rooms and Community Spaces
Inspiring competition and spirit have always been part of the fabric of Isidore Newman School. Lessons from the playing field shape character – the ability to compete, appreciate winning, learn from losses, show respect for opponents, and keep trying whenever a task is difficult. As legendary Newman coach and teacher Billy Fitzgerald once said, athletics are where ‘values are caught, not taught.’
Newman’s storied athletic history belies our small size and uncompromising academic standards. Our over 105 state championships inspire today’s students to dream big.
Project Overview
Athletics touch the lives of every Newman student – more than 85% of Middle and Upper School students participate in at least one sport, and our community loves to gather and cheer at games, meets, and matches.
This comprehensive renovation of Physical Education, Locker Rooms, and Community Spaces will provide amenities appropriate to the stature of the Newman athletics program and the spirit of our community.
