Newman Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists

Six students in Isidore Newman School’s Class of 2018 were named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. Earning the honor, pictured from left to right, are seniors Grant Carey, A.K. Aluise, Booker Jones, Max Kanner, Connor Page, and Avni Shridhar. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation is a private, non-profit corporation with the mission to recognize, reward, and encourage academic talent and accomplishment. It uses the PSAT/NMSQT as the qualifying test to be recognized by the program.
