Newman Juniors Receive Book Awards

Eight Newman juniors received prestigious University Book Awards for academic excellence. The recipient of each award is a student in the junior class who has excelled in scholarship, and in the opinion of the faculty, has also demonstrated leadership and good citizenship. The award recipients are as follows, from left to right:

 

Anna Katherine Kalifey Aluise (Harvard University Book Prize), Isabel Susan Lane (Dartmouth College Book Award), Avni Shridar (Columbia University Book Award), Laura Sophia Arenas (Sewanee Award for Excellence in Writing; The University of the South), Di’Jonai Amari Press (Princeton University Book Award), Katherine Elizabeth Vogt (The Jefferson Book Award; University of Virginia), Cassidy Rose Hammack Link (Tulane University Focus Louisiana Book Award). Not pictured: Charles Norman McTavish Smith (Yale University Book Award).
