Newman Debaters Invited to Compete in Greenhill Round Robins
Three Newman debaters will compete in highly selective Round Robin events prior to the Greenhill School’s annual Fall Classic tournament, which takes place September 16-18 in Dallas.
The Greenhill Fall Classic is one of the most prestigious and competitive debate tournaments in the country attracting entrants from coast to coast, and the Round Robins are invitation-only events that bring together some of the top debaters nationwide.
Max Kanner ’18 is one of 16 debaters selected to participate in the Lincoln Douglas Round Robin. The team of Rajan Agrawal ’18 and Royden Lynch ’18 is one of 16 selected for the Policy Round Robin.
According to Coach Greg Malis, this is the first time in four years that a Newman debater has been invited to participate in the Lincoln Douglas Round Robin and the first time in at least 20 years that a Policy team has been invited.
Following the Round Robins, members of the Newman Speech and Debate team will compete in the Fall Classic.
