Newman Students Selected for District VI Honor Band

Eleven Newman lower and middle school students were selected to be included in the District VI Elementary Honor Band. The 5th and 6th graders competed among over 200 other New Olreanian students for the honor of participating in the band. The students will join other selectees from around the district and help complete the woodwind, brass, and percussion sections of the Honor Band. The students will then perform in concert on January 23, 2011 at Tulane University. Please join us in congratulating these musicians for their achievement.
