The varsity baseball team opened its district schedule with a 13-0 victory over South Plaquemines in five innings on Friday night at Kirsch-Rooney. Eli Sterbcow, Greg Plaisance, Walt Marcus, Dylan Bush, and Peter Miller combined to throw a one-hitter. Allen Dennis led the offense with three hits, Eli Sterbcow added two hits, and Jamie Smith hit his third homerun of the season.

The varsity team went on the road Saturday afternoon and defeated Belle Chasse 3-1. Jamie Smith pitched a complete game for his team-leading third win of the season, striking out ten and allowing only five hits. Both Avery Rowan qualified for the finals in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles and Tiffany Wilson qualified in the 400 meters. In order to qualify, these athletes had to finish in the top 18 in the preliminary races on Friday night.
